Brown Dust 2 PvP Tier List
Mirror Wars is a different game from Fiend Hunter. Speed, disruption, and not dying on turn one.
Mirror Wars is Brown Dust 2’s async PvP. You attack a snapshot of someone else’s defense, and other Masters attack yours. You never fight alongside another Master in real time, and you cannot pause to read a fiend card. The match is often decided on turn one: who buffs first, who knocks whom into a nuke, who still has a body on a tile after the opening AoE. That is why copying your PvE team onto the defense preset is how you donate medals.
Use this page with combat and team building. Names overlap the tier list hub; jobs do not.
What PvP actually rewards
- First-turn damage that does not need a 15-chain ramp.
- Disruption — knockback that breaks a plus, taunts, silence-style kits, summons that occupy tiles (Morpeah is the obvious example).
- Survivability on defense — if your defense dies before it acts, your gear never mattered.
- Speed / turn order manipulation so your nuke is not the fourth action on a corpse.
- Anti-carry tools — fixed damage that ignores a fat DEF stack, or a pattern that clips the backline.
Long Fiend ramps (chain 20 fantasies) are too slow unless the defense is already broken. Bring a shorter plan.
Offense watch list (September 2026)
High impact: Apostle Blade, Morpeah, Young Lady Blade, Nebris kits that snipe back tiles, Loen, Liatris, seasonal Sylvia/Michaela burst costumes, Deadeye Nekyndalia when the lane is open.
Enablers: Dark Saintess Liberta still helps if you can stack a few hits, but a PvP opener often wants raw ATK/vulnerability that lands on action one. Diana, Teresse, Lathel, and Helena remain the cheap enablers. Acting Archbishop Michaela and similar damage reducers exist so you live to turn two on defense.
Flex disruption: Kry knockback, Samay-style displacement, summons. A 4-star that moves a body out of a plus can beat a 5-star that arrives late.
If a costume needs ten debuffs to wake up, it is a PvE specialist. Leave it in the Fiend preset.
Defense watch list
Defense is a trap puzzle:
- Do not park every unit on the front row. Opening column skills exist.
- Mix bulk and a counter-AoE so mirror attackers who brute-force the same plus eat a wipe.
- Include at least one unit that functions at low chain. Your defense may not get a second turn.
- Gear DEF on the units that will be hit first, not only on the carry you like.
Meta defense snapshots change after each limited. Collab weeks (Chained Soldier 2 in September 2026) inject kits that ladder climbers have not built a response for. Expect wobble for a patch, then a counter-costume.
Climbing without a full limited box
- Keep a PvE core for stamina; keep a second preset for Mirror.
- Plus one disruption unit even if they are “only A” on the PvE page.
- Attack defenses that show obvious plus-shape tells. Skip stacked Morpeah walls until you have an answer.
- Spend codes on 12-Pick supports, not on a third limited DPS, unless your offense already has the buff stack. See supports.
- Run the daily checklist so medals and shop tickets keep arriving while you learn matchups.
